15 minutes
1 large cucumber
500 g Greek yoghurt
2-3 cloves of garlic
1-2 tbsp lemon juice
1-2 tbsp olive oil
2 sprigs of fresh dill
salt and pepper
Peel the cucumber, grate coarsely and place in a sieve.
Sprinkle generously with salt and leave to stand for about 15 minutes so that the water drains out.
After 15 minutes, squeeze the cucumber well to remove excess water.
Add the Greek yoghurt to the grated cucumber in a bowl.
Peel the garlic, finely chop the garlic and dill and add to the yoghurt.
Add the lemon juice and olive oil and mix well.
Season with salt and pepper to taste and stir well.
Heavenly Greek tzatziki that doesn't need many ingredients or much time. Serve the tzatziki as a dip with fresh bread, pita, vegetable sticks or as a side dish with grilled meat and vegetables.
